Why this exists
I'm an amateur. I bet the photos told you that, but I have to admit it. I'm learning about photography and the subjects I capture by trial and error. In all my stumblings, I have seen amazing and beautiful things. This is the way I get to remember them. Plus, trudging around in the wild with 5 or 6 pounds of camera equipment is a lot like exercise.
Behind the Camera
I'm an unremarkable 30-something with a great husband who loves the outdoors. His willingness to drive me to crazy marshes and trails and to slog through mud gives me the chance to do what I enjoy most: see the finer details in nature. I'm always amused by the quirks and twists in the natural world. If I see something new or different, I grab a photo. The most visible results end up here, and in the calendars I make for family and friends.
